Nice lil' (mostly) black table Jul 09, 2010
By M Stephens I bought this inexpensive 'faux designer' table to go with my inexpensive faux leather couch.
It's a well designed piece, which could be stunning with chrome hardware (it's a 'silver' coated metal that looks vaguely gauche and 'sparkle-ly') and perfected lines (it's a little out of proportion), but that would be the kind of table that would cost $500 - this was $100, so whatever.
You should know that the table isn't quite BLACK, but just 'black in most artificial light' with some red/warm undertones in sunlight. It looks like the paint isn't quite thick enough for a real 'deep black', which might annoy you.
It also shouldn't surprise you - cause it's obvious in the pictures - but the legs are kinda 'scrawny' and would break instantly under any real weight. But that's not what this table is for - and the look is very minimal and functional - so purpose served.
I might repaint/replace the top but I do dig the design and it looks good where I wanted it to.
So I bought a second one...
Horrible return policy Jan 26, 2012

I was really excited about getting this table. However, it arrived damaged (one of the corners was smashed in) and their return policy is absolutely terrible because:
1) They take nearly $25 out of the refund for return AND outgoing shipping. For a product purchased with Amazon Prime (= free shipping!) and damage that was clearly not my fault, this is ridiculous.
2) You have to bring it to your local UPS to return it and there is no option for pickup, even for a fee. As a New Yorker on a 4th floor walk-up apartment with no car, I need to carry a massive box down the steps and down several blocks of busy Manhattan streets to do this. Such a pain!
My last point is that the table is also shorter than expected (I know they had measurements, but with the picture next to the chair I figured it would be ok). It's about 5 inches shorter than the arm of my couch which was a little awkward for use as a side table. I also thought this could also be used as a TV tray to eat dinner, but when you swing it around it basically crushes the top of your legs, at least on my couch (which is a normal sized Ikea couch).
Overall, not worth the hassle! Buyer beware.
just what it looks like Dec 08, 2011
By Heather I ordered two of these end tables and they came carefully wrapped and fully assembled, arrived within about a week even though amazon warned me they ship later. One had a small chip in the corner but I didn't care enough to send it back. Over all they are very nice. The wood laminate is similar to ikea's dark-brown products, and they are very sturdy. Pretty decent quality for the price and very stylish.

These came already assembled. Big Bonus. And they look great as bedside tables if your bedroom is on the small side.
